Silvergrass

This big, silver and hazel grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The crescent-shaped stalks grow in large clumps that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, slate spikelet.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of tiny grains.
