Copperpine

This colossal tree grows up to 125 meters (410.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 343 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, angular trunk covered in fine, ridged, brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is brown.

The branches are very long and thin, with hundreds of twigs covered with copious amounts of giant, red needles. The needles themselves are tough.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, orange, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
