Silver Moss

This silver moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely strong.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
