Emeraldgrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized, emerald grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in sparse patches that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, silver flower.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It is frequently struck by lightning.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
It is suitable for making paper
