Indigo Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in sparse patches that are robust.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, indigo spikelet.

During the early winter, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of tiny grains.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
every part of the bine is slightly toxic.
