Turquoise

This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 76 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has many wide, straight stems covered in thick, knobbly, black bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of huge, stiff, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either light blue, or turquoise with silver splotches, light and crispy.

In late spring it produces handfuls of medium-sized, purple flowers with oblong shaped petals. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like pot-purri.
