Burgundybell

This large shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 113 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous flexible, wonky stems covered in thick, wrinkled, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches trail down across the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, broad, flat, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in bronze, white and black varieties, sturdy and soft.

In late summer it produces many medium-sized, cyan flowers with long, narrow petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like honeysuckle.
