Gray-green Leaf Water Lily

This average-sized flower grows up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. Its orange stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thin and straight, and the huge, gray-green leaves are sickle shaped with rounded edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 8 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 49 cm (19.3 inches) wide, with solid pale orange petals and a lime central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 22 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has a weak scent that smells like chocolate, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
