Greygrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, grey and emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The asymmetrical stalks grow in extensive patches that are flimsy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, pastel red flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for making paper
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It can flourish even in standing water.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
