Indigo

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters)0. It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 2 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are hard and brittle.

The very thick, clammy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are drab orange at the bottom and indigo with slate lines at the top, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of small faded green flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of very large fruits.
