Golden Spiral Tree

This big tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3687 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in fine, cracked, yellow bark, and inside, the light wood is white.

The branches are long and slender, covered with very large amounts of giant, red needles. The needles themselves are light.

In late summer it produces giant, gold, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
