Burgundy Tree

This colossal tree grows up to 133 meters (436.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 431 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in wrinkled, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.

The small handful of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of covered in fine hairs, large, needle-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid cyan or red, with white streaks.

In late summer it forms giant, grey, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
