Emerald Heath Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely flexible; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
