Golden Thornleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 38 feet (11.6 meters) tall. The very thick stem is yellow, and is dotted with small gold spines. The thick leaves are either violet, or beige with sky blue dots. Small amounts of them grow on flat, green branches that are long and thin. The leaves are frail, but detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 31 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are indigo on the edges and blood red at the center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like rotting meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the green flesh is leathery, and the olive sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

It is suitable for making paper
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
