Golden Bine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 161 feet (49.1 meters).
It takes 4 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and fibrous.
The finger-like, rough leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are light yellow and gold, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of average black flowers.
