Bloodrush

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red puff.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
Several parts of the flower have medicinal properties.
