Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly delicate.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
