Sunsetvine

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 29 feet (8.8 meters) and growing as high as 693 feet (211.2 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 14 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The spear shaped, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are crimson on the sides and slate at the center, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of average deep yellow flowers.
