Silverbell

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is wispy and splits into 5 branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the large, silver or blue leaves are dark yellow-green on the underside and are circular with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Each stem splits 1 to 6 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are pink on the edges and deep yellow at the center. The flower head is made up of 36 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They are hardy.

It has no scent, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
