Emerald

This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its emerald stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thick with a curved tip, and the tiny, gray-green leaves are very thick with smooth edges. 5 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

5 to 9 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with petals that are pink on the edges and deep yellow at the center. The flower head is made up of 36 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like varnish, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
