Sunburst Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly strong; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
