Silverleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 56 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a thick, twisting trunk covered in thick, cracked, silver bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pine-coloured.

The large clumps of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with very large amounts of sticky, huge, perforated leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid silver with dark grey splotches.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, ashy red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
