Magenta Moss

This light green or magenta moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In bogs, In rainy mountain ranges, and In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly flexible.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It commonly grows in large patches.
