Purple Puffgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This short, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in small clumps that are delicate and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, purple puff.

During the early winter, it produces excessive amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It comes in 31 varieties.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
