Copperrose

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This large flower grows up to 4.5 feet (1.4 meters) tall. Its copper stem is thick and straight, and the giant, gray leaves are stiff, pointed with serrated edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Each stem splits 5 to 9 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 57 cm (22.4 inches) wide, with alternating petals of pale green and peach, with an aquamarine central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 petals. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like freshly washed clothes, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
