Vinebirch

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 290 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in hard, smooth, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with handfuls of sticky, small, long, narrow leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in olive and azure varieties.

In late summer it forms tiny, vivid green, shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

The pollen is overwhelmingly toxic to people but not to certain animals.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
