Coppervine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 166 feet (50.6 meters) and growing as high as 89 feet (27.1 meters).

It takes 2 years for the green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 7 inches (18 cm) and are rough and woody.

The spear shaped, clammy leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are found in muted orange, gold and light red varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several tiny copper flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of small seed pods.
