Bronzevine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous tree grows up to 102 meters (334.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 396 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.

The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small bunches of soft, miniature, long, narrow leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are bronze on the sides and caramel at the center.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, blue blossoms with slender, pointed petals. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like coffee.

In late summer it forms tiny, faded red aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The entire plant is edible and the grains areslightly salty.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
