Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This big tree grows up to 82 meters (269.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 489 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in cracked, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is dark brown.
The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with small amounts of smooth, huge, asymmetrical leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally grey.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, silver, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
