Crimsonberry
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 186 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has numerous sturdy, straight stems covered in delicate, rough, light gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.
The branches are long and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, thick, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure or vivid red, with crimson zig-zags, light and clammy.
In late summer it produces a thick sheet of giant, orange blossoms with 3 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotten egg.
In early winter tiny umbrella-shaped fruits ripen. The hairy vivid red skin is delicate and salty and sour, and the very soft brown flesh is sweet and very juicy. The bronze seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
