Grass type: Perennial (Grows the first year, flowers the second year, then dies)This big, gray-green grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in small clumps that are resistant and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, beige puff.
During the mid-autumn, it produces lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
