Grey Tuft Grass

This small, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are rigid and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, dark grey tuft.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of giant grains.
