Emerald

This short cactus grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 4 very narrow, elongated stems. Each stem is emerald, and is covered in large amounts of flexible slate spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 16 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are cream on the edges and turquoise at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of 15 raised, narrow petals. It has a soft scent that smells like new books.

The cactus's skin is thin, the vivid purple flesh is smooth, and the green sap is thin.
