Bronzeberry

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 140 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several very thick, crooked stems covered in delicate, rough, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches trail down towards the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, long, narrow, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in brown, grey and beige varieties, resilient and crispy.

It produces copious amounts of medium-sized, bronze flowers with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like glue. In midwinter it forms largeblood red, winged seeds that float and land far away.
