Crimsongrass

This short, yellow grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in thin clumps that are robust and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, crimson flower.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
