Gray Moss

This gray moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
