Spiralvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 50 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in rough, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pine-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of rough, small, 3 pointed leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown with violet tips.

In late summer it forms large, brown, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

The sap is vibrant blue.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
