Copperbark

This colossal tree grows up to 139 meters (456.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 170 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thin, silky, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow.

The sparse amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, small, stiff, pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in ashy red and indigo varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, indigo aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
