Magenta Vine

This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 33 feet (10.1 meters) and growing as high as 42 feet (12.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 3 years for the dark brown and blood red stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The thin, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are lime green with magenta tips, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces large amounts of large violet flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of large seed pods.
