Orange Firefern

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 171 feet (52.1 meters) tall. The perforated stem is orange, and is covered in brittle faded orange spines. The smooth-edged, very thick leaves are hazel on the edges and magenta at the center. Handfuls of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are frail, but take some effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are purple on the underside and slate on the top grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of 49 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has an overpowering scent that smells like lavender.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the caramel flesh is rubbery, and the red sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
