Grayneedle Succulent

This big cactus grows up to 76 feet (23.2 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is gray, and is covered in sharp spines. The tear-shaped body is gray, and is covered in handfuls of fine, crimson, hair-like spines.

It is slow growing, taking 26 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are generally beige; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 31 tightly layered narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like pine needles.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the dark grey flesh is leathery, and the magenta sap is thin.
