Indigo

This giant leaf succulent grows up to 137 feet (41.8 meters) tall. The thin stem is yellow and hazel, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid magenta spines. The lumpy leaves are found in ashy red and indigo varieties. Copious amounts of them grow on stocky, blue branches that are long and thin. The leaves are light, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 23 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are purple on the underside and slate on the top, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. It has a weak scent that smells like candle wax.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the brilliant blue flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin.
