Rainbowvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 45 feet (13.7 meters) and growing as high as 73 feet (22.3 meters).

It takes 20 months for the hazel stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The thick, fuzzy leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are red at the bottom and sky blue with orange splotches at the top, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces bunches of large brown flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large seed pods.

It can survive a long time without water.
It is often home to a particular bird species.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
