Sapphire

This large leaf succulent grows up to 82 feet (25.0 meters) tall. The pleated stem is emerald, and is covered in thousands of fine, ashy red, hair-like spines. The rounded leaves are either sky blue or bronze, with light grey edges. Copious amounts of them grow on stocky, black branches that are short stubs. The leaves are frail, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is quick growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of blood red and red, with a magenta central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like sweat.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the slate flesh is sticky, and the caramel sap is thin.
