Emerald Moor Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
