Smokebloom

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its green stem is wispy and splits into 4 branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the huge, orange leaves are light gold on the underside and are pleated with jagged edges. 24 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with aquamarine petals and a slate central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 11 raised round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
