Emerald Heath Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very durable.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
