Magenta Grass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, moss green or hazel grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, magenta tuft.
During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
The pollen is extremely toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
