Bloodgrass

Grass type: Annual (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in large clumps that are rigid and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, blood red puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.

The sap causes severe rashes
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is often home to a particular bird species.
