Yellow Fingerleaf
Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) tall. Its red stems grow in bunches of 4 and are thin and straight, and the tiny, green leaves are light gray on the underside and are finger-like with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
5 to 8 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of yellow. The flower head is made up of 29 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They detach easily.
It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like grass cuttings, and it has lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
